Problem

Doctors struggled to provide effective rehabilitation to patients after knee and hip surgery because they lacked the tools to regularly monitor patients' progress and check the correctness of exercises on an ongoing basis. Without immediate feedback, patients often performed exercises incorrectly, which delayed the recovery process. Patients, on the other hand, struggled to commute regularly to rehabilitation sessions due to limited mobility, lack of time or long distance from rehabilitation centres.

Solution

Genius Care is a solution that allows the rehabilitation process of patients after knee and hip operations to be carried out remotely. Based on movement analysis and machine vision, Genius Care is a mobile application for the patient and a browser-based application for the physiotherapist. The patient performs a set exercise in front of the mobile device's camera and receives immediate feedback on the number of repetitions and the correctness of the exercise. Using the browser interface, the physiotherapist assigns the appropriate exercises to the patient and checks the progress of the rehabilitation process.
