Graffiti

Problem

Services face a problem in quickly detecting and removing graffiti from trains and railway infrastructure. Traditional methods rely on manual inspections, which are inefficient and time-consuming. The lack of automation meant that graffiti could remain on trains and infrastructure for longer periods of time, not only negatively affecting aesthetics, but also passengers' perception of safety and service quality.

Target

The aim of the application is to automate and improve the process of detecting graffiti on trains and along railway tracks.

Solution

Graffiti detection is an add-on to a mobile system we are developing, for a client in the Austrian market, to manage policing on railways. The solution is based on visual data acquired from cameras installed along the tracks. Using machine vision algorithms, we provide the application with data on the location of graffiti, train number and car number.
